SeaWorld’s Waves of Honor program gives eligible U.S. military members one complimentary single-day admission per year to SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens® or Sesame Place® Philadelphia — plus free admission for up to three direct dependents. Military guests must register online through ID.me and visit by December 31, 2026, with a valid military ID shown at the front gate. Beyond the free ticket, the program also offers 50% off up to six additional SeaWorld Orlando single-day tickets and a discounted Military Silver Annual Pass at $169 (normally $279).

Who is Eligible for the SeaWorld Military Discount?

The Waves of Honor complimentary admission is available to:

    • U.S. active-duty military members (all branches)
    • Activated or drilling reservists
    • National Guardsmen, regardless of deployment status
    • Up to three direct dependents of the eligible service member

The complimentary ticket can be used at any one of the participating parks — SeaWorld (Orlando, San Antonio, San Diego), Busch Gardens, or Sesame Place Philadelphia — once per year, for one park and one visit.

Not eligible: According to SeaWorld’s official page, inactive, standby and retired reserve members, military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marine members and civilian Department of Defense workers do not qualify for the complimentary admission. Retired and veteran service members may still find discounted tickets through their base’s MWR/ITT ticket offices.

How Much Military Discount Does SeaWorld Provide?

    • Complimentary admission (FREE): one single-day admission per year for the service member, plus up to three direct dependents — a party of up to four gets in free at SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Sesame Place Philadelphia.
    • 50% off additional tickets: the service member can purchase up to six SeaWorld Orlando single-day tickets at 50% off (limit of 6 per year). This is ideal when your group is larger than four.
    • Military Silver Annual Pass — $169 (normally $279): unlimited admission with no blockout dates for 12 months, includes 3 free guest tickets on a rolling calendar basis and up to 20% off in-park purchases. Active-duty members may purchase up to six passes for the family.
    • Bundles: SeaWorld + Aquatica Orlando Silver Pass for $217 (normally $336), or all four Florida parks (SeaWorld, Aquatica Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island) Silver Pass for $254 (normally $408).

How to Claim the SeaWorld Military Discount

    1. Go to the official military page — visit the Waves of Honor section on SeaWorld’s site: https://seaworld.com/orlando/tickets/military-discount/active-duty/ (the program is managed through SeaWorld’s official site and WavesOfHonor.com).
    2. Verify your status with ID.me — click the verification button and log in or create a free ID.me account, then complete military verification. Spouses must log in under the active-duty member’s account to access dependent tickets.
    3. Register and print your tickets — after verification, register online and print your complimentary admission tickets.
    4. Visit by December 31, 2026 — your complimentary visit must be completed by the end of 2026.
    5. Bring your military ID to the gate — the service member must present a valid active military ID at the front gate. The name on the ID must match the registration.
    6. For the 50% off tickets or Silver Pass — these must be obtained online after ID.me verification; the pass is not available for purchase at the park.

Note: Parking is not included with the complimentary admission. Be sure to register before arriving — walk-up requests at the gate are not accepted for this promotion.

FAQs About the SeaWorld Military Discount

Is SeaWorld’s military admission really free?

Yes — eligible U.S. active-duty military, activated/drilling reservists and National Guardsmen receive one complimentary single-day admission per year through the Waves of Honor program, plus free admission for up to three direct dependents. Parking and extra tickets are paid separately.

Do veterans or military retirees qualify for Waves of Honor?

No. SeaWorld’s official page states that only active-duty military, activated or drilling reservists, and National Guardsmen qualify for the complimentary admission. Military retirees, inactive reserves and civilian DoD employees are ineligible, though base MWR/ITT offices may offer them separate discounts.

Which parks accept the Waves of Honor free ticket?

The complimentary admission is valid at SeaWorld parks, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place Philadelphia. It is not valid at Aquatica water parks, Adventure Island or Discovery Cove (depending on the park page; Orlando lists SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place).

Can my spouse get the free tickets if I’m deployed?

Yes. While verification must be completed through the service member’s ID.me account, spouses and family members can use the registered tickets. Spouses log in under the active-duty member’s account to access the dependent tickets.

Is there a deadline for the 2026 Waves of Honor offer?

Yes — military guests must register online, print tickets and visit by December 31, 2026.

What if I need more than four tickets?

The active member can purchase up to six additional SeaWorld Orlando single-day tickets at 50% off online (limit 6 per year). The member must be present with guests at the park.

How does the Military Silver Annual Pass work?

Active-duty military can buy the SeaWorld Orlando Silver Annual Pass for $169 (normally $279) online after ID.me verification. It gives 12 months of unlimited admission with no blockout dates, free parking benefits, 3 free guest tickets and up to 20% off in-park purchases — up to six passes per member.
