Great Clips is saying thank you to America’s heroes this Veterans Day. On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, veterans and active-duty U.S. service members can walk into any Great Clips salon in the United States and receive a completely free haircut — or take home a free haircut card to redeem on a future visit instead. The offer was officially announced by Great Clips on October 20, 2026, as part of its annual Thank a Veteran program, which runs every year on November 11. With more than 4,400 salons across the United States and Canada, the world’s largest salon brand is making it easy for those who served to get a fresh cut on the house this Veterans Day.
Who is Eligible for the Great Clips Military Discount?
The Great Clips Veterans Day free haircut is available to veterans and active-duty U.S. service members at any participating Great Clips salon in the United States on November 11. The program runs every year on Veterans Day, so this is a standing annual tradition — not a one-time promotion.
- Veterans of all U.S. military branches
- Active-duty service members currently serving
- Canadian service members: active and veteran military members can receive a free haircut or free haircut card at participating salons on Remembrance Day (November 11) — call your local salon ahead of time to confirm it is participating
- Non-military customers can also take part: anyone who visits a salon on November 11 can receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran or service member as a way of saying thank you
Because Great Clips salons are 100% franchised and locally owned, it’s always smart to confirm with your neighborhood salon, but the Thank a Veteran offer is a company-wide program honored across U.S. salons.
How Much Military Discount Does Great Clips Provide?
On Veterans Day, the discount is simple and generous: one free haircut for every eligible veteran or active-duty service member who visits on November 11, 2026. If you’d rather not get your cut that day — Veterans Day is one of the busiest days of the year at salons — you can choose a free haircut card for a future visit instead, at no cost.
Non-military guests aren’t left out: customers who stop by on November 11 can pick up a free haircut card to gift to a veteran or active service member. It’s Great Clips’ “pay it forward” twist on the traditional Veterans Day freebie, and it means anyone can help a hero get a free cut.
Outside of Veterans Day, Great Clips is known for value-priced, high-quality haircuts for men, women, and children, with convenient Online Check-In through the Great Clips app or app.GreatClips.com so you can skip the wait.
How to Claim the Great Clips Military Discount
Claiming your free Veterans Day haircut takes just a few minutes. Because the offer is only valid on November 11, plan your visit for that Wednesday:
- Find your salon. Use the salon locator on greatclips.com or the free Great Clips app to find the most convenient of 4,400+ locations — and check its regular hours for November 11.
- Check in online to skip the line. Visit app.GreatClips.com or use the app to join the wait list from home, then head over when your turn approaches. Expect a busier-than-usual day.
- Visit on November 11. The free haircut offer is valid only on Veterans Day itself, during regular salon hours.
- Mention the Thank a Veteran offer. Let your stylist or the front desk know you’re there for the Veterans Day free haircut for military members and veterans.
- Show valid military or veteran ID if asked. Bring a valid military ID, veteran ID, or other proof of service to verify your eligibility.
- Get your cut — or take the card. Enjoy your free haircut on the spot, or ask for a free haircut card to redeem on a future visit if you prefer.
