All state parks will be open to active service personnel, veterans, and members of the National Guard for free in August as a way for Colorado Parks and Wildlife to show its appreciation for the military community.

Pick up an August Military Pass at any state park or parks and wildlife office to take advantage of the promotion, which is open

to both residents and nonresident service members and veterans. To obtain the permit, you must present proof of service, such as a military identification card.

Other park charges, such as those for making camping reservations, registering boats, and purchasing fishing licenses, remain stand. State Wildlife Areas and State Trust Lands are not covered by the passes.

Use the park locator tool provided by Parks and Wildlife to see the locations of state parks and to learn more about each park.

Visit CPW.State.co.us to learn more about Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s additional military perks, such as free Veterans Day

entrance to state parks.
