On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, Starbucks is saying thank you to those who have served with a cup of coffee on the house. Every veteran, military service member, and military spouse can enjoy a free tall (12 fl oz) brewed coffee — hot or iced — at participating Starbucks stores across the United States. There is no purchase required, and the offer is good in the café and at the drive-thru, so claiming it takes no more than a quick stop on your Veterans Day errands.
Starbucks has a long-standing commitment to the military community, and this year’s Veterans Day offer comes alongside a $200,000 donation, split between Team Red, White & Blue and Team Rubicon, two organizations that support veterans and service members. The free coffee is the simplest way to take part: one tall brewed coffee, on Veterans Day, for the people who served and their spouses.
Who is Eligible for the Starbucks Military Discount?
The Veterans Day free coffee is open to veterans, military service members, and military spouses. Starbucks describes the offer for the whole military community — those who have served, those currently serving, and the spouses who support them at home. The offer is valid at participating U.S. stores, so it is worth confirming your local store is taking part before you head out.
The offer is limited to one free coffee per customer, per visit. Starbucks’ announcement does not specify a particular proof-of-service document, so bringing a military ID or other proof of service is the safest way to confirm your eligibility at the counter.
