Who Is Eligible for the Avocado Military Discount?
Avocado’s service discount page says the military discount is available to:
- Active U.S. military personnel
- Reservists
- Discharged personnel
- Retired personnel
This covers the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Avocado also offers the same discount to medical providers, nurses, first responders, and teachers. It does not mention military spouses or dependents, so their eligibility is unconfirmed.
How Much Is the Avocado Military Discount?
Avocado offers an extra $75 off orders over $1,000. According to its help center, an extra $75 discount code will automatically apply to your cart once you are verified and your product total reaches at least $1,000.
Here are the key rules from Avocado’s help center:
- $1,000 minimum: Your product total must be at least $1,000.
- Some exclusions: Discounts may not apply to certain items, such as the Eco Kids Mattress, unless bundled with other products.
- No stacking: The help center says the discount cannot be stacked with other promotional codes or sale prices.
- Other limits: The discount is not transferable or refundable and cannot be applied to orders that were already processed.
Avocado’s service discount page describes the offer as “additional” savings, while its help center says it cannot be stacked with other promo codes or sale prices. Because of that, expect the $75 to apply on its own rather than on top of other deals.
How to Get and Claim the Avocado Military Discount
Here is the step-by-step process.
Step 1: Build an Order Over $1,000
Add your mattress, bedding, or furniture to your cart on Avocado’s website. Make sure your product total is at least $1,000.
Step 2: Go to Checkout
Head to checkout, where you will see the green Verify with ID.me button.
Step 3: Click “Verify With ID.me”
Select the button and log in to your ID.me account or create a new one.
Step 4: Confirm Your Military Status
Complete the verification. Avocado says it relies exclusively on ID.me for qualification and verification.
Step 5: Let the $75 Code Apply
Once verified, the extra $75 discount code should automatically apply to your cart. Confirm it before you pay.
Tips to Get the Most From Your Discount
- Compare with sales: Since the discount cannot be stacked with sale prices, compare $75 off with any current promotion and choose the better deal.
- Bundle eligible items: If you are buying the Eco Kids Mattress, Avocado says discounts may apply when it is bundled with other products.
- Check your total: The $1,000 minimum is based on your product total, so confirm your cart meets it before verifying.
- Plan around a move: If you are about to PCS, consider having your order delivered to your new address.
Is the Avocado Military Discount Worth It?
The Avocado military discount works best for larger purchases. If you are buying a mattress and bedding that total more than $1,000, the extra $75 helps reduce the cost. However, because it cannot be combined with sale prices, a big seasonal sale may sometimes save you more. Compare both before you order.
