Veterans Day, November 11, 2026 — IHOP will once again honor the men and women who have served. On its official website, IHOP confirms the tradition returns: “Veterans Day 2025 has come and gone. If you’re a veteran or active duty military, come by in 2026 and let us serve you.”
IHOP’s Veterans Day tradition, documented in the brand’s own official announcements, is a free Red, White & Blue pancake breakfast for veterans and active-duty military — the brand’s signature buttermilk pancakes topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote, and whipped topping. Note that IHOP has not yet published the final 2026 menu details, so confirm with your local restaurant as November 11 approaches — but the return of the Veterans Day offer in 2026 is officially confirmed by IHOP itself.
The offer has historically run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, dine-in only at participating U.S. locations, with proof of military service.
Who is Eligible for the IHOP Veterans Day 2026 Free Pancakes?
IHOP’s official announcements state the free Veterans Day offer is for:
- Veterans — all who have retired from or previously served in the U.S. Armed Forces
- Active-duty military — currently serving members
IHOP has historically asked guests to show proof of military service, which has included: US Uniformed Services ID Card, US Uniformed Services Retired ID Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (American Legion, VFW, etc.), a photograph of yourself in uniform or wearing your uniform, DD214, military dog tags, and citations or commendations.
The promotion is limited to one per qualified guest, at participating restaurants, on November 11 only.
How Much Military Discount Does IHOP Provide?
IHOP’s marquee military benefit is its annual Veterans Day free pancake offer on November 11 — the free Red, White & Blue pancakes (in some years served as a combo with eggs, hash browns, and bacon or sausage at select locations). This is a once-a-year event rather than a standing percentage discount.
IHOP does not advertise a year-round company-wide military discount; its Veterans Day tradition is the brand’s signature thank-you to the military community. For everyday savings, IHOP guests can join the International Bank of Pancakes rewards program, which offers points, birthday treats, and member-only offers.
