GoPro salutes service with an official military discount program that gives verified military members and veterans 5% off GoPro products on GoPro.com. Whether you are documenting training exercises, capturing family moments during homecoming, or filming your next backcountry adventure, the discount takes a welcome bite out of the price of GoPro cameras, mounts, and accessories. Verification is handled through ID.me, and once your status is confirmed, the savings apply automatically at checkout — no promo codes to juggle.
Who is Eligible for the GoPro Military Discount?
GoPro extends its discount to a broad community of verified heroes and public servants:
- Military members and veterans — including active-duty service members across all branches and those who have served
- First responders — firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and law enforcement officers
- Medical professionals — doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers
- Government workers — federal, state, and local government employees
- Teachers — educators at qualifying institutions
Eligibility is confirmed through ID.me, which verifies your military or professional status securely online. The program is currently available for U.S. customers shopping on GoPro.com. You will need to create an ID.me account (if you do not already have one) and complete the verification steps, which typically involve confirming your identity and service credentials.
How Much Military Discount Does GoPro Provide?
Verified members receive 5% off GoPro products purchased through GoPro.com. While 5% is modest compared with some other brands’ military programs, it applies to GoPro’s premium cameras and gear, where even a small percentage translates into real dollars — for example, 5% off a $400 camera saves you $20.
GoPro notes that restrictions apply, so the discount may not be valid on every single item or during certain promotional periods. Because the discount is applied automatically at checkout after ID.me verification, you will see the reduced price reflected in your cart before you complete payment — if an item is excluded, it simply will not show the discount.
Unlike programs that issue single-use codes, GoPro’s approach is refreshingly simple: once you are verified, the 5% discount is tied to your account and applies automatically each time you shop, with no need to re-verify or enter codes for every order.
How to Claim the GoPro Military Discount
Getting your GoPro military discount set up takes just a few minutes:
- Visit GoPro’s official discount page. Go to GoPro’s ID.me verification page on GoPro.com.
- Click “Verify with ID.me.” This starts the secure verification process on ID.me’s site.
- Create your account and verify. If you are new to ID.me, create an account, then complete verification by confirming your email address and providing proof of your military service or eligible status.
- Shop GoPro.com. Once verification is complete, browse GoPro cameras, mounts, and accessories as usual.
- Check out with automatic savings. The 5% discount applies automatically at checkout — review your cart to confirm the reduced prices before placing your order.
Tip: complete the ID.me verification before you start shopping so the discount is already active on your account when you check out.
